Account opening and participation in Emission Trading System - operators

After the receipt of GHG permit the Emission Trading Registry administrator opens the account for the operator in the ETR and informs the first and second authorized contact persons of the operator about the opening. After the account opening ETR administrator allocates the allowances for the operators according to National Allocation Plan for the current year.

For the account opening in the ETR the operator has:

• to fill and send the application form  Pieteikuma forma (63.50 KB) (in Latvian) to LEGMC;
• to sign a contract with LEGMC for the possibility to operate with the allowances;
• to pay to LEGMC for the services according to signed contract and public service price list of LEGMC – Pricelist of the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre servises for 2010.

Account is activated by the ETR administrator within the 2 days after the receive of the payment confirmation.

After the opening of the account ETR administrator informs the Client about the opening indicating the Client's representative for the granting of access rights to the account and notifying the password, username and the digital identifier of the account in ETR.
