Geology

Geologic structure and relief create the physical basis for economic activities. Conditions and resources of geologic environment are especially important to national, regional, and district development planning. Information on Earth entrails is necessary for providing the economy with minerals, for water supply, construction, and other sectors. Without knowing the geologic conditions of specific locations, complete evaluation of its economic situation is also impossible. Many geologic and geoemorphologic objects are listed in the protected environmental monument list, they delight eyes and hearts of both local inhabitants and tourists.

Spheres of activities of LEGMC in relation to preparation, storage, and provision of geological information are as follows:

1.   Processing and preparation of geologic information:

  • creation of geologic maps:

                 - general geologic maps,

                 - specialized.

  • creation of reports, statements, and conclusions on objects and territories (geologic structure and features, mineral fields, open pits and mines, protected geologic monuments of nature)
  • geologic data processing,

2.   Collection and storage of geologic information

3.   Earth entrails quality evaluation:

  • Subterranean water monitoring;
  •  Seismologic monitoring;
  •  Various researches.

4.   Mineral field register maintenance:

  • mineral accounting;
  • preparation of mineral deposit balances.

5.   Organization of tenders for mineral mining at deposit locations of state importance.
