Hydrological observations are carried out by LEGMC at 69 observation stations.
9 coastal hydrological stations are evenly distributed across The Baltic Sea and Riga Gulf coast and provide coastal observations.
At present .60 hydrologic stations provide hydrometrical measurements on Latvian rivers, lakes and reservoirs. The optimal observation network density ensures an adequate quality of the hydrological data of Latvian major river basins and lakes, as well as the Baltic Sea and the Riga Gulf.
65 stations are fully equipped with the automatical devise and provide hydrological data collection and transmission to the database for the further data processing and use.
